Obituary of Mary Constance Sears

Indianapolis Mary Constance Sears, 96, of 8226 Lockwood Lane, Indianapolis, formerly of Bedford, died 5:00 am on Wednesday, August 27, 2003. Born February 25, 1907 in Lawrence Co., IN, she was the daughter of Doyle and Katherine (Lucas) Dilley. She married Nelson Sears on September 18, 1926 and he died October 5, 1978. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church of Bedford, the Ludean Society of the church, the Red Cross Auxillary and was a founding member of the Lawrence County Art Assoc. Survivors include one son, John David Sears of Denver, CO; three daughters, Mary Louise Merrill of Indianapolis; Joan (Jody) Moore and her husband, Homer, of Bedford and Nancy Wilson and her husband, James, of Westerville, OH; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Charles Dilley and one grandchild. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 30th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Dr. Paul E. Kerr officiating. Burial will follow in Hamer Cemetery at Spring Mill State Park. Friends may call from 4:00pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, August 29th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
