Obituary of J. David Schreiner

Bedford J. David Schriener, 82, of Bedford, died at 4:34 pm on Monday, March 23, 2009 at StoneBridge Health Campus. Born January 8, 1927 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Joseph Conrad and Julia Ann (Pfleger) Schreiner. He married Betty Jean Hubbard on March 31, 1956 and she preceded him in death in January 1998. He graduated from Anderson High School and Purdue University School of Pharmacy. He practiced pharmacy in Anderson and Bedford and retired in 1983. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving at the 8055 MASH unit in Korea in 1951-52. He was a life member of the American Pharmaceutical Association, a member of Kappa Psi, honorary pharmaceutical fraternity and a life member of the John Birch Society. He attended Highview Baptist Church. Survivors include several nieces and nephews and his special friend, Doris Holtsclaw. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one sister, Janet Louise; three brothers, Carl Joseph, John Edward and Joseph Bernard. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 26th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Danny Goens officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday, March 26th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
