Obituary of Elsie M. Schoonmaker

Bedford Elsie M. Schoonmaker, 84, of 85 Indian Trails Ridge, Bedford, died at 7:40 pm on Sunday, March 14, 2004 at the White River Lodge in Bedford. Born November 11, 1919 in New Jersey, she was the daughter of Clarence and Rena (Broadwater) Fauver. She married William Stanley Schoonmaker in 1950 and he died November 7, 1994. She retired in 1978 from the Millville Sewing Co. in New Jersey and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bedford. Survivors include one son, Bill Schoonmaker of Bedford; one daughter, Shirley Skillman of Stevens Point, WI; one step-daughter, Eileen Pearson of Marlborough, CT; eight grandchildren, Debbie Schoonmaker Tolliver of Mitchell, IN, Kelly and Kevin Pearson both of Marlborough, CT, Daria Schoonmaker of Bedford, Kristen Skillman of Maryland, Jennifer, Allison and Tracy Skillman all of Stevens Point, WI; two great grandchildren, Reece and Lauren Tolliver; one sister, Reita Haley of Millville, NJ and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister, Lois Menz. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 18th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Curtis Hurley officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 17th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
