Obituary of Pearl V. Scales

Huron Pearl V. Scales of Huron, IN, formerly of Wheatland, IN died at 4:35 am on Thursday, November 27, 2003 at the Bloomington Hospital in Bloomington. Born in Bristol, Tennessee, she was the daughter of James and Amanda Louise (Perkins) Cook. She first married Henry Hubry. She later married Ralph E. Scales in 1944 and he died in November 1979. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hillcrest Christian Church/Bryantsville Church of Christ. Survivors include one daughter, Katy Abel of Huron, IN, one granddaughter, Nicole McNamara and one great grandson, Seamus McNamara both of Massachusetts; one great nephew, David Wampler and his wife, Sandra of Bedford; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, one daughter, Fronia Hubry; six sisters, Rose Wampler, Kathleen Davis-Evans, Margaret Fisher-Spruge, Fronia Coleman-Watkins, Callie Cook and Lillie Cook; six brothers, Robert S. Cook, Mack H. Cook, Fred L. Cook, Elbert Cook and two in infancy. She was the last of thirteen children. Funeral Information Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 30th at the Huron Cemetery with Bro. Ken Wilson officiating. No calling hours are scheduled. Arrangements are under the direction of the Day & Carter Mortuary.
