Obituary of Jackie L. Beasley

Bedford Jackie L. (Jack) Beasley, 72, of 3922 Dixie Hwy., Bedford, died at 5:11 pm on Monday, April 19, 2004 at his residence. Born December 12, 1931, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Byford and Eva Ruth (Todd) Beasley. He retired from General Motors after twenty-seven years of service. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Air Force, he was a member of American Legion Post #250, V.F.W. Post #9107 of Mitchell, Eagles Aerie # 654, Moose Lodge, Bedford Boat & Sportsmans Club, Brick Layers and Allied Craftsmen Union. Survivors include three sons, Jerry Beasley of Bedford; James Beasley of Elwood, IN and Joe Beasley of Aiea, HI; three grandchildren, Christopher Beasley, Travis Beasley and Tina Clouser and her husband, Dustin all of Nashville, TN; two sisters, Marilyn Joyce Evans and her husband, Thomas, Jr. of Bloomington, MN and Judith Kelley and her husband, Clifford (Bud) of Shelbyville, IN; one half-sister, Mary of Kansas, IL; one aunt, Stella Hamersley of Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 23rd from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 22nd and on Friday, April 23rd from 1:00 pm until the hour of service at the Day & Carter Mortuary. An Eagles Memorial Service will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Thursday at the mortuary. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside by members of American Legion Post #250 of Mitchell.
