Obituary of Opal Mae Ryan

Bedford Opal Mae (Polly) Ryan, 73, of 1812 13th Street, Bedford, died at 6:45 pm on Monday, June 16, 2003 at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born June 7, 1930 in Kentucky, she waas the daughter of Jimmy Morrison and her foster mother, Sarah Elizabeth Bouch. She married Thomas Jr. Ryan on January 10, 1948 and he survives. She was a wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Eagles Arie #654 of Bedford. Surviving with her husband, Thomas of Bedford are daughter, Karen James of Mitchell and her children, Theresa Patron of Ohio; Tom Yeary of Mitchell; Donille and her husband Grant James of Leopold, IN and their children, Brian, Joseph and Latisha James; daughter, Janice Lewis of Bedford and her children, Rachel and her husband, David Bunch of Bedford and their children, Kennedy and Cale Bunch; Stacie Lewis of Bedford and her daughter, Kaitlyn; Deanna Lewis of Bedford; daughter, Rebecca and her husband, David Sears of Bedford and their children, Jeremy Sears and his daughter, Abbigail Marie of Bedford; Juston and his wife, Rebecca M. of Bedford; son, Danny Ryan and his wife, Jami of Bedford and their children, Clinton Ryan of Bedford; Nicole Ryan of Bedford;Corrie Albietz and her daughter, Olivia, of Florida; Christopher Ryan and Mikalay Ryan-Chronister of Bedford; daughter, Tammy and her husband, James Brock of Crothersville and children, Jennifer Steele of Seymour and Jamie Steele and her daughter, Shaelynn Williams of Seymour; son, Timothy Ryan and his wife Michelle and their children, Matthew Ryan, Ryan Tower and Alexander Ryan all of New Hampshire; son, Lawrence Ryan and his wife, Monica, of Shoals and their daughter, Jessica Ryan; two sisters, Katie of Bloomington and Elizabeth of Sellersburg; one brother, Ernest Morrison of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson; three great grandchildren and four sisters. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 20th fro the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Jon Lineback officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 19th and 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Friday, June 20th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
