Obituary of Ansel E. Ross

Heltonville, Ansel E. Ross, 82, of Heltonville, died at 1:05 am, April 1, 2004 at Mitchell Manor. Ansel was born June 4, 1922 in Heltonville, IN to Noble E. and Maude E. Hawkins Ross. He married Charlotte White on August 7, 1948. She preceded him in death on October 2, 1987. He was a quarry worker for 33 years with Indiana Limestone, a member of Oolitic Penetcostal Church, Laborers & Hod Carriers Union #909 and a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Amry. Surviving are one son, Raymond Ross and his wife Maggie of Holton, IN, one daughter Rosemary Bradley and her husband George of Orleans, IN, six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, one son, Kevin, three brothers, Arthur, Adolph and Aubrey Ross and one sister, Adrian Stewart. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 3rd from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Keith Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Hilltop Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, April 2nd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
