Obituary of Betty J. Robertson

Bedford Betty J. Robertson, 89, of Bedford, passed away at 4:28 pm on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at her residence with her children by her side. Born October 18, 1921, she was the daughter of James and Lola McGinnis. She married John D. Robertson in 1942 and he preceded her in death. She owned and managed Jeffs Shoe Store for sixteen years before retiring in 1976 and was a member of the First Christian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Susan Sargent of Bedford; a son, Phil Robertson of St. Louis; three grandchildren, Hova Woods of Hollywood, FL, Sarah Risen-Robertson of New York City, NY and Lindsay Robertson of New Orleans; one great grandchild, Max Woods and a sister, Carolyn Day of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Martha Gammon and two Funeral Information Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 11th at Green Hill Cemetery with Rev. Bob Dailey officiating. No visitation or viewing is scheduled. Donations Information The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the First Christian Church.
