Obituary of Emma Louise Hollars

Bedford, Emma Louise (Goodman) Hollars, 91, of Coveyville, formerly of Needmore, was a loving wife, mother and mama, passed away at 1:40 pm on Friday, January 14th, at her daughters home and was the last of a large family. Born on January 17, 1913 in Lawrence County, IN, she was the daughter of Charles and Josephine (Young) Goodman. She married Odis Hollars on September 10, 1934, who died in 1992. She was a housewife and was a member of the Oolitic Pentecostal Church. Surviving are three daughters and son-in- laws: Peggy and Ansel Deckard of Bedford; Kay and Bud Bridges of Mitchell; Donna and Dennis Maddox of Bedford; ten grandchildren: Tim Deckard, Greg Deckard, Mike Deckard, Curt Deckard, Ron Bridges, Darren Bridges, Sandra Robbins, Jon Alexander, Carol Sanders, Denise Lopez; twenty-three great grandchildren; four sister-in-laws and one brother-in-law and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents, husband, two sons: Charles Lee and Odis Earl Hollars; one daughter: Myrna Santure; one grandson: Bryan Bridges; one great grandson: John Deckard; two sisters: Irene Goodman and Leona Ray; six brothers: Winfred, George, Ray, Maxwell, Carl Avery and Charles Jr. Goodman. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 18th, from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Keith Thompson and Jon Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Greg, Mike, Curt, Ryan and Tyler Deckard, Ron and Darren Bridges.
