Obituary of Betty J. Roberts

Bedford Betty J. Roberts, 71, wife of Harry Red Roberts, formerly of Bedford, died at 10:45 am on Saturday, December 20, 2003 at Columbus Health & Rehab. Center in Columbus. Born October 11, 1932, she was the daughter of Joe Garland and Julia (Hughes) Hall. She married Harry E. Red Roberts in 1956 and he preceded her in death. She was a homemaker. Survivors include one daughter, Pam Ellis of Columbus; three sons, Mike Allman and Anthony Roberts both of Arkansas and William Allman of Seymour, IN; two step-children, Scott Roberts and Robin Privett both of Muncie; five grandchildren, Nikki Todd, Justin Allman, Heather Roberts Henry, Brittany Roberts and Rob Ellis; three great grandchildren, Gunner Todd, Jordan and Gavin Ellis; five step-grandchildren and thirteen step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Bobby Joe Garland. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 24th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pat Blyeth officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, December 23rd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
