Obituary of Louis Dale Roberts

Bedford L. Dale Roberts, 88, of 211 Butterfly Lane, Bedford, died on Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at Select Specialty Hospital in Bloomington. Born July 7, 1917 in Martin County, he was the son of Bill and Birdie Mae (Cobb) Roberts. He married Wilma Maxine Corbin and she preceded him in death on June 6, 2001. He retired after thirty-five years at NWSC CRANE and a member of Old Union Christian Church, NARFE and AFGE. Survivors include two sons, Riley Roberts and his wife, Dianne of Oolitic, Ronnie Roberts and his wife, Marsha of Silverville; six grandchildren, Scott Roberts of Williams, Todd Roberts of Fayetteville, Misty Adams and her husband, Steve of Bedford, Kelly Leveque and her husband, David of Needmore, Jim Ragsdale and his wife, Candy of Oolitic, Robbie Atchison of Phoenix, AZ; seven great grandchildren, Cody Roberts, Elizabeth Leveque, Dianda Roberts, Casey Roberts, Josh Leveque, Alex Adams and Avery Adams. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Ernie, Willie, Junior and one in infancy; two sisters, Zella Harp and Rosa Hodges. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 29th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Richard Tallman officiating. Burial will follow in Owensburg Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 28th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
