Obituary of Hazel Mae Robbins

Mitchell-Hazel Mae Robbins 83, of 1342 Wesley Chapel Road, Mitchell went home to be with her husband and daughter Sue at 4:01 am on August 11, 2007. Born March 1, 1924 she was the daughter of John Allen and Rebecca Jane (Pemberton) Turpin. She married James E. Robbins on August 21, 1943 and he preceded her in death. She was a member of the Faith Mission Church in Bedford for over 40 years. Hazel was a very honest, sweet, and caring person whom everyone loved very much. As soon as anyone would walk into her home, she would always say the same thing, get you something to eat. Her family and her church were very important to her. Survivors include: one daughter, Virginia Ginger Jones of Mitchell; one son James Robbins and his wife Cheryl of Bedford; one son in law Richard Schofield; 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Katherine Sue Irene Schofield, three brothers, Floyd Turpin, John Earl Turpin, and Lloyd Turpin, one sister Katherine Blanton. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 14th at the Faith Mission Church with Rev. Leonard Sankey officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, August 13th at the Day & Carter Mortuary, and from 9:00 am until the service on Tuesday at the Faith Mission Church. View Video Tribute
