Springville Elbert A. Ritter, 86, of Springville, died at 6:45 am on Sunday, April 20, 2008 at the Dunn Memorial Hospital in Bedford.Elbert, also known to some as Honey, was born October 21, 1921, the son of Otto and Oma May (Sowders) Ritter. He retired after thirty years at General Motors in 1979. He enjoyed his life. He loved his family and friends, collecting and restoring his FARMALL tractors and spending time with his children. His hobbies were making wooden bowls and other wood working. He was a veteran of WW II serving with the U.S. Army. Elbert married Ona Mae McPike on June 20, 1947 and she preceded him in death on August 24, 1996.Survivors include two sons, Roy Ritter and his wife, Leann of Bedford; Jerry Ritter and his wife, Debby of Springville; one daughter, Susan Easton and her husband, Eric of Springville; grandchildren, Tammy Ritter, Angela Ritter, Tara Palmer and her husband, Brandon all of Tulsa, OK, Paul Owens and his wife, Bridgett of Bedford, Troy Ritter and his wife, Andrea of Anchorage, AK, Trisha Patton and Stephen Easton both of Bedford; fourteen great grandchildren; three brothers, Ellis Red Ritter and his wife, Bernice, Ermil Joe Ritter and his wife, Peggy, Otis Otie Ritter and his wife, Vernice; two sisters, Lucille Lucy Hedrick and Ada Dolly Deckard. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ona Mae, two sisters, Evelyn Cracraft and Mary Louise (in infancy); one brother, Ervin Bud Ritter. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 23rd from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Larry Ritter and Frank Binford officiating. Burial will follow in the Judah Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 22nd and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Wednesday, April 23rd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
