Obituary of Horace Richardson

Bedford Horace Richardson, 93, of 1603 15th Street, Bedford, died at 3:35am on January 15, 2007 at the Hospitality House. Born December 12, 1913 in Bedford, he was the son of Charles H. and Elizabeth (Rariden) Richardson. He married Mary Black on April 25, 1937 and she survives. He was a retired vocational teacher at BNL High School in Bedford. He was a past director of the Boys Club and former director of the Parks Dept. for the city of Bedford. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Bedford Elks Lodge and the Otis Park golf course. Surviving with his wife, Mary, are two daughters, Jean Montavon and her husband, Bruce of Bedford and Janet Smallwood and her husband, Don of Delray Beach, FL; six grandchildren, Christy Surgeoner, Dan Samllwood, Beth Schindler, Amy Fuchs, Karen Johnson and Michael Montavon and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Stewart Richardson; one brother, Charles Richardson and one sister, Oneita Richardson. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday, January 19th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery.
