Obituary of Earl C. Holbrook

Bedford Earl C. Holbrook, III, 57, of Bedford, died at 6:51 pm on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital. Born March 12, 1955 in Cincinnati, OH, he was the son of Earl C. and Edith Jacquline (Jackie) (Alsip) Holbrook. He married Sharon Scott on July 22, 1989 and she survives. He retired from G.E. in Bloomington and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He attended the First Baptist Church. He was a life-time member of the N.R.A. and an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He loved his grandchildren and his dog, Daisy. Survivors include his wife, Sharon of Bedford; a son, James Michael Holbrook and wife, Amy Lynn of Bedford; Carol Ann and Tyler (who were raised in the home); three brothers, David Holbrook and wife, Tara of Bloomington, Dwight Holbrook and wife, Nancy of Oaktown, Vincent Holbrook and Lori Moore of Ellettsville; two sisters, Donna Gronski of Evansville and Regina Terry and husband, Monte of Bedford; in-laws, Bill and Carol Scott of Bedford; three grandchildren, A.J., Cameron and Sarah Holbrook; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, V.J. Edie. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, August 24th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 23rd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
