Obituary of Ruth E. Rainey

Bedford Ruth E. Rainey, 90, of Bedford, died at 5:32 am on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Garden Villa in Bedford. Born July 30, 1919 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Clarence and Pearl (Peyton) McCain. She married Virgil Rainey on April 20, 1938 and he preceded her in death on June 28, 2008. She was a homemaker and member of Englewood Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Jackie Dale Rainey and wife, Linda of Bedford; two daughters, Judith Kaye Hardman and husband, Dave of Bedford and Martha Gayle Kennedy and husband, Larry of Springville; three sisters, Barbara Payton, Helen Reynolds, Frances Turpen all of Bedford; two brothers, Robert McCain of Bedford and Kenneth McCain of Elizabethtown, IN; ten grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Paul and Ernest McCain; a sister, Marie Jackson and two grandsons, Nicholas and Shannon Rainey. Funeral Information Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday, June 18th in Gilgal Cemetery with Brad Rainey officiating. Burial will follow. No calling hours are scheduled.
