Obituary of Homer Thomas Phillips

Springville Homer Thomas Phillips, 70, of 1643 State Road 54 W., Springville, died at 11:50 am on Sunday, August 2, 2009 at Westview Nursing and Rehab. Center in Bedford. Born January 6, 1939 in Wayne Co., KY, he was the son of Elisha and Angie (New) Phillips. He was an assembly line worker for Thomson RCA in Bloomington and attended Grace Baptist Church in Springville. Survivors include five children: Randy Phillips of Springville, Dianna Delphia of Evansville, Evonda Terrell of Bedford, Patricia Wagner of Evansville and Dewayne Phillips of Springville; three sisters, Carolyn Allen of Bedford, Dorothy Phillips of Oolitic and Mary Jane Kidd of Bedford; three brothers, Robert Phillips of Whitley City, KY, Clyde Phillips of Bloomington and Herman Phillips of Oolitic; thirteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Cecil and Ernie Phillips and two sisters (in infancy). Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 6th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Springville West Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 5th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
