Obituary of Betty Jean Malott

Bedford Betty Jean Malott, 83, of 3008 B Illinois Street, Bedford, died at 5:15 am on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Stonebridge Health Campus in Bedford. Born September 27, 1926 in Heltonville, IN, she was the daughter of Jason and Pink (Hawkins) Chambers. She married Ralph E. Malott and he preceded her in death. She graduated from the Protestant Deacon School of Nursing in 1947. She retired from Westview Manor where she worked a Director of Nursing for many years. She was member of the Retired Nurses Assoc. and attended the First Church of God Survivors include two sons, Ralph E. Malott, II and Samuel R. Malott and wife, Debra all of Bedford; three sisters, Louise Bailey and husband, Jesse of Heltonville, IN, Marjorie Bartlett of Bedford and Sarah Bundy and husband, Web of Bedford; five grandchildren, Michael Malott and wife, Gretchen, of Bloomington, Miranda Kline and husband, Eric, of Bedford, Jennifer Flinn and husband, Eric, of Bedford, Justen Malott and wife, Nicole, of Sanford, NC, Jamais Nottger and husband, Jason, of Bedford; eleven great grandchildren, Ian, Garrett, Gracie and Zaidin Flinn, Samuel and Gabrielle Malott, Meghan Malott, Bella and Graham Nottger, Ladyn and Kemma Kline. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, Herman L. Chambers, William Jason Chambers, H. Ray Chambers and C. Leonard Chambers and one sister, Helen Davis. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Monday, March 1st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, February 28th and from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Monday, March 1st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
