Obituary of Anita Kay Houston

Bedford – Anita Kay Houston Melton Lozano, 65, of Bedford, formerly of Lake Mary, FL, died Sunday, February 5, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital in Bedford. Born December 29, 1951 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Harold Houston and Margie (Murphy) Hamilton. She retired as manager of plant maintenance for the U.S. Postal Service. Survivors include a daughter, Shelley Dial and husband, Matthew, of Zionsville; grandchildren, Noah and Aaron Dial of Zionsville; a brother, Dr. Gary Houston and wife, Rose, of Bedford; a niece, Denise Richason; a nephew, Joshua Houston; great nieces and nephews, Sophia, Kalvin, and Elyjah Houston, Makayla and Gavin Butler, Jaykob Nicholas, Trey Blanton, and Jalen Hodges. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 9th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Charlie Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the Mundell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Thursday, February 9th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
