Obituary of Steven L. Acton

Springville-Steven L. Acton, 62, of Springville died at 5:30 am on Friday, February 5, 2016 at his residence in Florence, South Carolina. Born August 13, 1953 in Lawrence County he was the son of George Edward and Jeanette Dorothy (Trueblood) Acton. He married Nancy Clark on July 7, 2007 and she survives. He worked as a sales engineer for Otis Elevator. Survivors include his wife Nancy of Springville, one step son: Michael John Corps of Springville; two daughters: Stephanie Smith and her husband Matt of Greenfield, IN and Shallan Acton of Greenfield, IN; two sisters: Diane Acton of Bedford, and Lee Ann Anderson and her husband Mike of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 11th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with John Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday, February 11th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
