Obituary of Kathleen F. Pirtle

Bedford – Kathleen F. Pirtle, 84, of Bedford, died at 10:20 am on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at I.U. Health Hospice House. Born July 4, 1931 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Ellis and Ophie (Mitchell) Fender. She married Henry H. Pirtle and he preceded her in death. She was a master cosmetologist, living and working in Indianapolis for over forty years. She did hair and makeup for television and worked at the Marott and did all the celebrities who stayed there. Survivors include a daughter, Henrietta Pirtle, of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers, Ray, Clovis, Eugene and John Fender and a sister, Ruth Fender. Memorial services will be conducted at 6:00 pm on Thursday, February 4th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary.
