Obituary of Mary Colleen Hall

Bloomington-Mary Colleen Hall, 83, of Bloomington, died at 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at her residence. Born July 5, 1926 in Lawrence County she was the daughter of Harold F. and Dorothy P. (Smith) Covey. She married Delbert Hensley on September 5, 1943 and he was killed at Bouganville on March 24, 1944. She later married Charles A. Hall on July 23, 1949 and he survives. She was a graduate of Bedford High School. Colleen was a bookkeeper at Crane from 1945 until the early 1950s she then worked for Louden Foods in Bedford and later transferred to Bloomington she worked there until 1971; she was the office manager at the Executive Inn in Bloomington from 1971 until 1976; later she worked for Don Mitchell Builders from 1976-until her retirement in 2009. Surviving with her husband Charles is one brother: William D. Covey and his wife Colleen of Ocala, FL; and one sister: Linda Gates and her husband Kenny of Bedford; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, one sister Olivia (Tia) Bridwell and husband Jack and two nephews Bill Covey, Jr., and Kevin Gates. Funeral Information Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 20th at Cresthaven Memory Gardens with Rev. Dr. Kregg Burris officiating. Donations Information In lieu of flowers the family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the Bloomington Hospital Hospice or the American Red Cross.
