Obituary of Myrna Jewell

Bedford Myrna Jewell, 70, of Bedford, was called home on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and is now rejoicing in Heaven. Born December 28, 1938 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Clarence R. and Maudie (Arthur) Owens. She married John Jewell on September 19, 1953 and he survives. She worked for RCA and retired from Extruded Alloys in Bedford. She was a member of Cornerstone Worship Center in Judah. She leaves behind her loving husband John, four children; Patty Davis and husband Skip of Anderson, IN, Barry Jewell of New Castle, IN, Teresa Smith and husband Daniel of Bloomington, Debbie Sanders of Bedford, 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, three brothers, Wayne Owens and wife Sandi of Springville, Estell Owens and wife Cindy of Springville, Steve Owens and wife Sue of DuPont, IN, two sisters, Barbara Jones and husband Lonnie of Bedford and Patty Owens of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert Owens. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at the Cornerstone Worship Center with Pastor Rodney Reynolds and Bro. Lonnie Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, December 28th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary and from noon until the hour of the service on Tuesday at the church.
