Obituary of Mildred Elizabeth Weddle

Bedford Mildred Elizabeth (Hubbard) Weddle, 96, of Lawrence Co., IN, died at 10:20 pm on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at the White River Lodge in Bedford. Born February 15, 1914, she was the daughter of George Otto and Jennie (Brim) Hubbard. She married Elbert Fleetwood. She later married Noel Edgar Weddle. She was a graduate of Bedford High School with the class of 1932. She was of the Apostolic faith and through the years, she was a musician in many of the local Apostolic churches. She enjoyed playing and writing music and had written over one hundred forty gospel songs. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Ellen Hudson of Bedford; a son, Elisha Otto Fleetwood of Florida; eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; two sisters, Maxine Henderson and Cleda Prow both of Bedford; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Warren Edgar; a sister, Marie Turpen; brothers, Bill, Warren, Lt Oliver Wayne (WW II), Cledius Edwin and Wendel Ross (infants) and nephew, Rev. Bill Turpen. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Monday, April 19th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Elliott Perry and Rev. Chris Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the Gilgal Cemetery in Heltonville. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, April 18th and from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Monday, April 19th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
