Obituary of Pearl Stailey

Bedford-Pearl (Moore) Stailey, 94, of 70 Lincoln Ave. died at 11:30 am on Monday, December 14, 2009 at the Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born December 1, 1915 she was the daughter of Hiram and Dora (Cobb) Moore. She married Jesse Stailey on April 16, 1933 and he preceded her in death. She worked at Central Foundry for 27 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bedford, and the UAW local #440. Survivors include one son Lowell Stailey and his wife Ruthie of Bedford; two daughters: Ruth Plummer and her husband Kenneth of Bedford, and Jeanne Speer and her husband Fred of Bedford; six grandchildren: Trent Speer, Susan George and her husband David, Julie DAlesio and her husband Fred, Mike Stailey and his wife Debbie, Marty Plummer and his wife Roberta, and Lee Plummer; three great grandchildren: Jeremy Plummer, Adam Glenn, and Lauren George; one great great grandson: Jesse Plummer. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers: William and James Moore. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 17th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Dr. Kregg Burris officiating. Burial will follow in the Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 16th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
