Obituary of Lydia Mae Spoonmore

Springville Lydia Mae Spoonmore, 75, of Springville, died at 7:15 am on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital. Born November 2, 1934 in Springville, she was the daughter of Clarence and Alta (Jones) Strunk. She married Carl Spoonmore on March 14, 1953 and he survives. She was a secretary at Springville school for years and was the owner of the Spoonmore Grocery for eighteen years. She was of the Pentecostal faith and loved to knit, crochet, garden and spend time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Carl of Springville; sons, Stan Spoonmore and wife, Tricia of Springville, Kevin Spoonmore and wife Becky of Oolitic, Kent Spoonmore and wife, Tammy of Springville; grandchildren, Jayme Spoonmore Banks, Jessica Spoonmore Stewart, Kyla Spoonmore Fish, Justin Spoonmore, Erica Spoonmore, Kelli Spoonmore, Jared Spoonmore and Jacey Spoonmore; great grandchildren, Adalyn and Brock Banks, Evan Spoonmore and Reece Goodgame; siblings, Roy and Tom Strunk, Sandy Colliflower, Wanda Kirkman, and Pam Caudill all of Florida, Mary Jane Reuter of Springville and Loretta Abel of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Clovis Strunk. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 2nd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Alan Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Springville Christian Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, October 1st and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Saturday, October 2nd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
