Charles “Charlie” William Scott

Charles “Charlie” William Scott, 83, of Bedford, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Franciscan Health Indianapolis Hospital.

Born May 8, 1943, in Oklahoma, he was the son of Harvey Hiram and Sylvia (Todd) Scott. Charlie married Karen on August 16, 1963, and she survives. He was a member and minister of Hillcrest Christian Church. Charlie loved Jesus, Karen, his family, and cars. He spent his life serving people and investing in the Kingdom.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; brother, Howard(Linda) Scott; Sister-in-Law, Judy (Charlie) Collins; children, David (Sylene) Scott, Charmin (Brent) Powers, Michael (Martha) Scott, Kristie (Matt) Martin; grandchildren, Elijah, Anna, Gabriel, Simeon, Phoebe, Miriam, Caleb, Josiah, Nate, Leah, Ruth, Harmony, Abigail, Eden, Karali; great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Georgia, Vienna, and (coming soon) Rhett; several nephews, and one niece. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harvey Lee Scott; nephew, Matthew Scott; three preborn grandchildren, and one preborn great-grandchild.

A celebration of Charlie’s life will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 6th, at Hillcrest Christian Church, with Mark Fugate officiating. Burial will follow in Mundell Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, October 5th, at Hillcrest Christian Church and 9 am until the hour of service on Tuesday, at Hillcrest Christian Church.
