Dennis F. Mills, 70, of Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at his residence.

Born February 16, 1956, he was the son of William Otto Jr. and Betty Lou (Wade) Mills. Dennis married Brenda Sue Franklin on May 29, 2004, and she survives. He retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of service, and went on to work 18 years at NSWC Crane before retiring.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Sue of Bedford; two daughters, Sabrina Mills of Bloomington, and Katrina Sanders of Greenwood, South Carolina; a stepdaughter, Jenna Bazzell of Albany, New York, stepson, Trevor Bazzell of Cumming, Georgia; three grandchildren, Elijah-Rayne Fields, Cintavious Sanders, and Cyran Sanders; two brothers, Donald (Brenda Ann) Mills of Huntsville, Alabama, and Ronald (Debra) Turner of Speedway; two sisters, Renna (David) Voegerl of Jasper, and Sherri Peterson of Unionville. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Cindy Bruce.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 1st, at Goodwill Cemetery in Loogootee. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, August 31st, at Day & Carter Mortuary.
