Bedford – Martha M. Childers, 101, of Bedford, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at her residence.

Born January 5, 1925, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Trues and Hazel (McKnight) Kimbley. She married Robert E. Childers. Martha was a member of Easter Star and White River Baptist Church. She loved dancing, gardening, being outside, and going to auctions.

She is survived by a son, Kim Childers and his wife Teri; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her parents, brothers Bill and John Kimbley, and a sister Betty Wilcox.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 23rd, at White River Baptist Cemetery, with Bob Courson officiating. Any family and friends are welcome to attend. Family and friends may express condolences at www.daycarter.com.
