James H. Godsey, 85, of Springville, passed away on May 19, 2026, at IU Health Bedford Hospital.

Born September 16, 1940, in Springville, he was the son of Hobert and Edith (Anderson) Godsey. James married Roseanna Robbins on August 5, 1960, and she survives. He was a factory worker at RCA for 36 years. He loved playing the guitar, hunting, fishing, and building a big garden. He was the most kind and loving dad and grandpa.

He is survived by his wife, Roseanna; two daughters, Jessica (Matthew) Duncan of Bedford, and Susan Deckard; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Leroy, Paul, and Donnie, and one sister Joyce Phillips.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 21st, in Owensburg Cemetery, with Pastor Doug Phillips officiating. Family and friends may express condolences at www.daycarter.com.
