Bedford – Myla Fredell Cassidy, 85, of Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at her residence.


Born July 20, 1940, she was the daughter of Fred and Ellen (Baker) Farlee. She married Benjamin Cassidy, and he preceded her in death on October 18, 2014. Myla attended Fayetteville Baptist Church and Shiloh Christian Church. Early on she worked as a waitress at Gib & Denzel’s in Bloomington, and later as a line worker at RCA.


She is survived by three sons, Fred Cassidy of Mitchell, Toby (Tammy) Cassidy of Bedford, James Cassidy of Bedford; four grandchildren, Shane Cassidy, Zandra Jones, Jaylyn Nichols, Brandon Cassidy; eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin, and her parents.


A Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 8th, at House of Prayer Cemetery. Family and friends may express condolences at www.daycarter.com.
