Carl Taylor Obituary

Carl Taylor, 85, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Bloomington Hospital.


Born April 8, 1941, in Hickory Grove, he was the son of Wilburn and Goldia (Lewis) Taylor. He married Patricia Bunch, and she precedes him in death. Carl was a US Army Veteran and worked at Halls Sawmill. He loved riding motorcycles, sending time with his family, and being outdoors.


He is survived by his sisters, Mary Prewitt and Ruth Taylor; nephews Mark, Charles, Joseph, Mathew, Douglas, Jerry, Jordan, Derrick, Payton, Seth, Rodney, James, Blaine, Elijah, Jonah, Jenson; nieces Mattisyn, Mckenzie, Kimberly, Lisa, and Olivia, Mandy, Cheyenne. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, his parents, and his brothers Dale, Gale, Dean, Ed, Danny, Gene, and John, and a nephew Paul Prewitt.


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 16th, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Thursday at Day & Carter.
