Bedford – Alan C. Thorp, 91, of Williams, passed away at 6:40 pm on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at IU Health Hospital in Bedford.

Born February 14, 1935, in Champaign, Illinois, he was the son of Cecil Grant and Opal Thorp. Alan married Mary Louise Peggy Ray, and she precedes him in death. He was a retired U.S. Marines and Army veteran and worked as a supervisor at Bryant Air Company. He was a member of Bedford First Assembly of God.

Survivors include two sons, Alan C. Thorp II, and Steven Thorp; grandchildren, Candice Thorp, Lara Thorp, Alexandra Thorp, Brett, Ashley, and Brianna; great-grandchildren, Reice, Javin, Finley, Alaina, and Emilia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, his parents, and a sister Carol Ferrel.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, February 21, 2026, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Williams.
