Bedford – Sherry Lynn Jones, 60, of Bedford, passed away at 1:40 am on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at White River Lodge.

Born December 20, 1965, in Newark, OH, she was the daughter of John R. and Sonia L. (Staley) Young. She had been a certified nursing assistant in several facilities including the Hospitality House and had worked as an assembler at Cook Medical in Bloomington. She was a member of the Bedford Baptist Temple.

Survivors include a sister, Kathy Helm and husband, Mike, of Lafayette; a brother, John Young and wife, Connie, of Poulan, GA; two sons, Brian Jones, Jr. and Daniel Jones and girlfriend, Candice Thorp; four grandchildren, Kaylyn, Finley, Reice, and Javin; nieces, nephews and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Sonya Kaye Jones; a sister, Robin Young; a niece, Stephanie Pinnick; a nephew, T.J. King McVicker.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 11:30 am at the Bedford Baptist Temple, 2417 ‘N’ Street, Bedford, IN. A private burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery with her daughter.
