Springville – Frances Janine (Berry) Peters, 77, of Springville, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and caregivers. Born October 31, 1948, in Gary, IN, she was the daughter of Lyle and Viola (Blunk) Berry. On June 6, 1970, she married the love of her life, Max Peters who survives.

Fran was a devoted Christian woman and a long-time member of Grace Full Gospel Church of Bedford. She cherished attending services, participating in the Ladies Group, and lending a helping hand community events. Her faith guided her life and shone through in all she did. A passionate supporter of the Lawrence County 4-H program, Fran served as a dedicated leader for more than 30 years. Even after stepping back from club leadership, she continued her involvement by operating the 4-H petting zoo for many years-bringing joy to countless children and families. She often shared her little zoo with schools, daycares, nursing homes, and churches brightening the days of everyone she met. Family was at the heart of Fran’s life. She was part of a large and loving family and her warmth and kindness touched all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Max, of Springville; their 3 daughters, Jan Breedlove and husband, Tim, Rebecca McAllister and husband, Tom, and Jessica Voorhies and husband, Michael, all of Springville; 8 grandchildren, Amanda (Kyle) Alcorn, Tosh Breedlove, Allison, Austin, and Adam Selbee, Eli and Abby Voorhies, and Gage Cobb; 4 great-grandchildren, Berkleigh and Knox Alcorn and Kendyl and Kelsi Sykes; sisters, Erin Spires and Colleen Childs, both of Bedford and Millie, of Spencer. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, George, Steve, Dave, and Ben Berry; 2 sisters, Ellen Gray and Clara Fyffe.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 11th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Sam Perkins officiating. Burial will follow in Springville Cemetery West. Visitation will be from 11:00am until the hour of service on Tuesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
