East Oolitic – Marty Lee Eagans, 69, of East Oolitic, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at his residence.

Born January 17, 1956, in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Claude and Rosalie Eagans. He married Kathy Terrell and she preceded him in death on November 24, 2009. He was an operator at Bedford Recycling.

Survivors include a son, Brent Eagans (Crystal); a son-in-law, Jody Sullivan; a sister, Evelyn Terrell; a sister-in-law, Linda Eagans; grandchildren, Nyschell (Tramas) Ault, Katelyn (Deaujujan) Cody, Kaylyn (Christian) Turner, Brentlee (Christina) Sullivan, Michael (McKenzie) Sullivan, Madolyn (David) King, Joey Sullivan, and Seanna Eagans; 29 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy; his parents; a son, Stevie Eagans; a daughter, Crystal Sullivan; brothers, Larry Eagans, Kevin Taylor, Mike Luttrell, Brad Taylor, and Mike Eagans; a sister, Sharon Roll.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 7th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Millard Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Patton Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, October 6th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
