Bedford-Christopher Lewis Barrett, 52, of Bedford died Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington.

Born December 8, 1972, in Salem, IN, he was the son of Billy Lewis Barrett and Connie Louise (Harris) Barrett. He had worked as a laborer at Valeo in Seymour and various other jobs. He attended Bedford First Church of God. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, and all sports, he loved watching sports with his granny while growing up, he was a big Colts fan.

Survivors include two brothers: Michael Barrett, and Allan Barrett both of Bedford; four aunts: Beth Grisson and her husband Travis of Mitchell, Lucinda Dowling of FL, Carolyn Miller of Corydon, and Barbara Payne of Salem; cousins Dan Grissom and his wife Alyssa of Bedford, Dennis Dowling of FL, Hayden and Cole Grissom. He was preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents, Herman and Eleanor Harris; paternal grandparents, Gertrude and William Barrett; and uncle, Ron Harris; aunt, Nancy Hurst.

Following the wishes of Chris, cremation was chosen. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 13th at the Church of God in Bedford with Pastor Trent Freed officiating.
