Bloomington – William Russell “Russ” Brand, 42, of Bloomington, passed away at 3:15 pm on Friday, August 8, 2025.

Born September 7, 1983, in Bloomington, he was the son of Frank Nelson and Donna Jean (Nevins) Brand. He married Sonya Gould on April 20, 2018 and she survives. He was a contractor employed as a grounds keeper at NWSC Crane.

Survivors include his wife, of Bloomington; a son, Leo Brand, of Bloomington; a step-son, Asher Cook, of Bloomington; a sister, Marie Brand, of Bloomington. He was preceded in death by his father.
