Sandra Kay Tincher Obituary

Sandra “Sandy” Kay Tincher, 70, of Bedford, passed away peacefully at 12:12 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16th, 2025, at her home. She was surrounded and comforted by family, along with her faithful feline companion, Baby.


Born September 13th, 1954, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Steve and Betty Jo (Silvers) Super. She married William H. “Bill” Tincher on May 7th, 1971. They celebrated fifty years of marriage together, and he preceded in death on July 23rd, 2021. Sandy was cherished and deeply loved by her family. She was a painter by trade who enjoyed reading, nature, puzzle games, classic rock, shelling in Boca Grande, and had an admiration for the famous chef, Anthony Bourdain. She had a strong connection with Kentucky, where her parents were born. The Super’s had annual family reunions on Keno Road, in Burnside, Kentucky.


Survivors include two daughters, Alissa Tincher Dorsett (Shane), Leah Tincher (Zach); a son, Troy D. Tincher; grandchildren, Makayla “Kayli,” Kolten, Kailen (Eric), Emma, Tristen (Kristen), Blayden, Rylie (Breavin), Elizabeth “Libby,” Morgan, Brianna (Dawson), Jasmyn (Dale); great-grandchildren, Augustus “Gus,” Vivienne, Emersyn, Kolsyn, Dale Shane, Scarlett, and Bexleigh; a brother, Don Super (Patty); a sister Sheila (Fred) Kern, all of Bedford. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, and brother-in-law.


The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Liz, Marnie, and Erin with SouthernCare hospice for going above and beyond.


Arrangements were made through Day & Carter; Graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 18th, at Hopkins Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Richardson officiating.
