Bedford – Delores Jane Mitchell, 90, of Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at White River Lodge.

Born August 9, 1934, in Bedford, she was the daughter of John Henry and Martha (Hackler) Baker. She married Ervin Ray Mitchell, and he preceded her in death on July 2, 2003. She retired from RCA. She was member a of the Fayetteville Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Marsha Holmquist, of Bedford and Melissa Brewer, of Bloomington; a sister, Carroll McCullough of Indianapolis; three grandchildren, T.J. Brewer, of St. Peters, MO, Evan Holmquist, of Bloomington, and Abby Karr, of Mitchell; 4 great-grandchildren, Audrina and Corinne Brewer, Shae and Thea Karr; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Naomi Waggoner; two sons-in-law, Eric Holmquist and Jim Brewer.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, July18th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastors Kenny Walden and Brady New officiating. Burial will follow in the Fayetteville Community Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
