Bedford – John Russell Harding, 78, of Bedford, passed away at 7:35 am on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Stonebridge Health Campus.

Born January 6, 1947, in Connecticut, he was the son of George and Florence (Wilkes) Harding. He married Claudia Heim on August 30, 1968, and she preceded him in death. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1966 to 1970 and was a member of the V.F.W. He was a boiler mechanic for the U.S. Government.

Survivors include two sons, Matthew Harding and wife, BreOnna, and Jason Harding and wife, Kylee, all of Bedford; five grandchildren, Chloe, Isabelle, Eliza, Hayden and Holten Harding. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three brothers, George, Bob, and Bill; three sisters, Elaine, Peggy and Mary.

Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 pm on Friday, June 20th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Jeff Hudelson officiating.
