Bedford – Jamie Sue Bechtel, 62, of Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, in Bedford.

Born September 16, 1962, she was the daughter of Gary James and Beatrice (Moore) Stevens. She married Jim Bechtel in February 2007, and he survives. She was a medical assistant at the VA Clinic in Bloomington.

Survivors include her husband, Jim, of Bedford; three children, Amy Lovins and Matt Drake, of Spencer, Brice Templeton and wife, Sara, and Jared Vance and wife, Abby, all of Bedford; five grandchildren, Madysen Lovins, Aliza Templeton, Haden Templeton, Grayson Vance, and Vera Vance; two brothers, Jim Stevens and wife, Nina, of Petersburg and Brent Stevens, of Bedford; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Debbie Landstrom.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Monday, June 2nd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Monday at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Family and friends may express condolences at www.daycarter.com
