Bedford – Ova Mae Flora, 80, of Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born November 3, 1944, in Cumberland Co., Tennessee, she was the daughter of Nasby and Leeanna (Wright) Matthews. She was a hair-dresser and owner of Broadview Beauty for over fifty years. She loved flowers, gardening and decorating for Christmas. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Survivors include her son, Brett Flora and wife, Colleen, of Indianapolis; her significant other, Glenn Catlett, of Bedford; two grandchildren, Chelsea and Nathan Flora, both of Indianapolis; a brother, Stanley Matthews, of Pikeville, TN; a sister, Carol Potter, of Crossville, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Elmer Matthews, Dean Matthews, Minnis Wright, Mildred Crabtree, Grace Matthews, and Nola Hawn.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 19th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Rick Catlett officiating.
