Springville – Sharon A. Turner, 85, of Springville, passed away at 4:00 pm, on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Westview Nursing and Rehab. Center.

Born July 22, 1939, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Kenneth John and Dovye (Jeffries) Bundy. She married John Edward Turner on November 5, 1955, and he preceded her in death. She had been employed in the shoe and men’s departments at JC Penney. She was a minister’s wife, serving the congregation at New Union Christian, Guthrie Christian, and Mt. Pleasant (in Monroe Co.).

Survivors include a daughter, Jenny (Dan) Scott; a son-in-law, Steven Dumond and several cousins; grandchildren, Danny (Mandy) Perry, Jon Perry, Leah Perry, Leslie Jackson, and Jason Cooper; several great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a daughter, Beth Dumond.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 29th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Jeff Hauersperger officiating. Burial will follow in the New Union Christian Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, March 28th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
