Bedford – Jeffrey Hayden Smith, 31, of Bedford, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025, in Bedford.


Born July 2, 1993, in Bedford, he was the son of Scott (Nikki) Smith and Jamie Smith.


Survivors include his parents; two young daughters, Kenlynn, age 10 and Stori, age 2; a sister, Gracie Smith; two brothers, Casey (Brandi) Smith and Jeremy (Ashley) Stevens; several nieces and nephews; his grandmother, Betty Smith. Hayden was preceded in death by his grandfather, Louie Smith and his uncle, Jim Smith.


Hayden began working in construction at an early age and learned to operate heavy equipment skillfully. He grew in his knowledge of underground work and he and his father began a construction company, (HSI Underground) in 2015, which he successfully operated until his passing. Anyone who knew Hayden knew he enjoyed racing and was an avid Trump supporter.


Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 21st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Jeff Hudelson officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
