Obituary of James A. Sullivan
Bedford – James A. Sullivan, 89, of Bedford, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Born June 25, 1935, in Bedford, the son of Denver and Hazel (Spalding) Sullivan. He married Paula Hubbard in 1952, and she preceded him in death. He attended Oolitic High School and was raised in Springville. He was a metal spinner for the sheet metal union for 40 years, a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the U.S. National Guard.
Survivors include children, Kenny Sullivan and Gina, of Mitchell; Carole Ann Skinner and Brian, of Mitchell, Connie Hettenbach and Jeff, of Atlanta, Chris Sullivan and Charlie Magers, of Trufant, MI; step-children, Jana Heineman, Heather Moriarty, Elmer Cloe, Sheila Kreiling, Steve Fletcher; Bonnie Sullivan of Missouri, whom he was married to for 38 years; a brother, Reggie Sullivan and Diane, of Lafayette; grandchildren, Jeremy Sullivan, Justin Sullivan, Zaryn Sullivan, Jason Weaver, Jonathon Schmidt, Bretta Skinner, Jacob Burnette, Jordan Burnette, Zach Burnette, Anthony Sullivan, Nathan Sullivan, John Smith, Casey Sullivan, Josh Sullivan; several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a son, Kevin Sullivan, sister, Jewel Spears, and brother in law, Bud Spears.
