Obituary of Mildred K. Maddox

Bedford – Mildred K. Maddox, 92, of Bedford, passed away at 5:45 am on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at her residence. Born August 15, 1932, in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Earl and Izilla (Stillions) Lemon. She married H. Dale Maddox on May 13, 1950, and he preceded her in death on April 13, 2009. She was a homemaker and attended the Valley Mission Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include a daughter, Rachel Deckard and husband, Joe; two sons, Stephen Maddox and wife, Glenda, and Bill Maddox and wife, Pamela, all of Guthrie; five grandchildren, Needra Basinger and Andrew, Stephanie Mack and Tracy, Dustin Maddox and Danielle Hitchcock, Shelby Hernandez and Alex, Billy Maddox and Tara; great-grandchildren, Alex Page and Jesse, Nick Basinger, Bransyn Maddox-Henson, Presley and Chesney Clark, Shalyn Dale Maddox, Alexis Hernandez, Avarey Hernandez, Brynleigh and Braelynn Hitchcock, Emma, Abby, Izzy and Ben Maddox; two great-great-grandchildren, Jetson and Jennings Page; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a sister, Glenda Maddox. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, March 3rd at the Valley Mission Church of the Nazarene with Pastors John and Melony Paulus and Gary Ritter officiating. Burial will follow in Clover Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, March 2nd and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Monday all at the church.
