Williams – Amel Kern, 78, of Williams, passed away on February 14, 2025, at his residence.


Born January 24, 1947, in Lawrence Co, he was the son of Kenneth A. and Maeda (Spreen) Kern. He married Candice “Candy” K. Doub on July 24, 1966. He was a contractor and a farmer. Amel was in the Army Reserve and National Guard. He was a member of the NRA.


Survivors include a son, Cory Kern of Williams; three grandchildren, Eli Kern, Kelsey Kendall, Stacia Kern; one great grandchild Kayson; two nephews David and Kenny Kern; two great nephews Peyton and Eli Kern; one great niece Kenna Kern one brother, Roe Kern; and a sister-in-law, Sheila Kern. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a son, Stacey Kern, and a brother, Ed Kern.


Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00pm on Tuesday, February 25th at the Bryantsville Church of Christ Cemetery with Rev. Richard Tallman officiating. Burial will follow in the Bryantsville Church of Christ Cemetery. Family and friends may express condolences at www.daycarter.com.
