Obituary of Debra J. Davis

Bedford – Debra J. Davis, 74, of Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at her residence. Born September 24, 1950, in Bartholomew Co., she was the daughter of Wilbur and Kathryn (Ferguson) Lucas. She married Claude Davis, Sr. on July 10, 1979, and he preceded her in death on January 31, 2021. She retired as a line worker at Visteon and attended the Apostolic Faith Assembly. Survivors include three sons, Claude Davis, Jr. and wife, Michelle, Tony Russell and wife, Lacey, and Everett (Gene) Russell and wife, Vonda; a daughter, Moneva (Bonnie) Rainey and husband, Kevin; 21 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Darrell Lucas; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, April Davis Watson; siblings, Clifford Lucas, Denny Lucas, Roger Lucas, Randy Lucas, and Sandra Ayers. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 16th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Kenneth Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Dive Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday, February 15th and from 1:00 pm until the hour of service on Sunday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
