Bedford – Lori Smith, 61, of Bedford, passed away at 8:30 pm, on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born December 19, 1963, in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Jerry Potter and Judith (Turpin) Treadway. She married Scott Smith on June 5, 1981, and he survives. She was an administrative assistant at Dr. Alan Summer’s Neurology office and attended the Judah Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Scott, of Bedford; two sons, Brandon Smith and wife, Chantelle, of IL, and Aaron Smith; five grandchildren, Kathleen “Katie” Smith, Christian Smith, Khloey Smith, Jalen Richardson, and Jazlyn McComick; four brothers, Matthew (Matt) Treadway, Bill Potter, Robert (Bobby) Potter, and Daniel Treadway. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Michael Potter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 15th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Larry Ritter and Bro. Joe Moon officiating. Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, February 14th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
